SOLON SPOTLIGHT FOR THE ARTS

Solon Spotlight is a volunteer group of parents, teachers and community members that help raise funds for the various fine arts programs in the Solon Community Schools. Solon Spotlight provides funding for several needs to include competition fees, marching band, jazz band/choir, judges for solo/ensemble, uniforms, performance support for winter drumline, instrumental upgrades, hiring clinicians, concert accompanists and piano maintenance.

Solon Spotlight counts on parents and local community members like you to set our students up for success. Please consider joining our monthly meeting. These are traditionally the 2nd Thursday of each month, held at 6:00 PM in the lobby of the Solon Center for the Arts. The Spotlight Board would like to get as much input and opinions as possible to ensure the path for success for our school and fine arts students.

Solon Spotlight comprises of volunteer parents and community members who wish to further the success of the fine arts programs of the Solon Community School District. A strong emphasis is placed on raising funds to help promote the music programs at Solon. Help is also needed in the “backstage” of the various music events. Solon Spotlight also looks for parents, teachers, and community members to attend the monthly meetings so that a variety of input and opinions are received to better guide the functions of Solon Spotlight and its efforts to help out the fine arts groups.
